Alchemical Words

“Who is this unique gift to the world that is ‘You’?

Several years ago when I was co-editing the environmental magazine Resurgence, I used to think that I would try never to publish anything that wasn’t worth the paper it was printed on. Trees are precious to me and to sacrifice one for the sake of a book or magazine, the words contained therein had to be alchemical – in that they transformed us in some way: they inspired the imagination and showed us different ways of being.

This ethos still informs The Write Factor today, and although technology allows us not to cut trees down in order to get our message across, we still hold that imperative as a founding principle of our business. Earlier this year, we launched our own publishing imprint – called Panacea – where we work in partnership with selected authors who we feel are helping to transform the world for the better. Today, the first of those books is launched, and it is called Live the Work you Love.

It’s been a great pleasure to work with Peter Hyson on his book and his twenty-five years of experience coaching people to realise their dreams, means that his book truly is transformational. Get a roll of wallpaper and a marker pen, and read this book. When you find out what you’re going to do with that wallpaper, it will change your life!

Peter believes that each of us has a unique role to play in the world, but that many of us struggle to find out what that is. The book takes you, step by step, through a process of self-realisation to find out who you really are, and whether ‘what you have done, is your life.’ In the words of author Phil Jesson, “this excellent book will move you from ‘Is this it?’ to ‘This is it!’ Now if that’s not transformational, I don’t know what is.

We’re so proud to publish this book as the first in our new imprint, and we wish Peter every success as he continues to empower people to transform their lives for the better.

I recently started bell ringing in the hope that it would help to straighten out my bad back only to be reminded by a friend that, "It didn't do Quasimodo any good."
