Representation

Like all good literary agencies, The Write Factor will act as your representative and approach publishing companies with your work, with a view to securing a publishing contract on your behalf.

Through our contacts in the industry and our extensive database of publishing houses, we will endeavour to find the right publisher for your work. What is unusual however is that we only charge a one-off fee for this service. We do not take a percentage of your publishing contract or a cut of your royalties – we simply negotiate the right publisher for your work and then pass you on into their own professional service.

However, The Write Factor reserves the right to refuse to act as your Representative if our team feel your work is not good enough. If this is the case, your fee will be returned minus 50% which is necessary to cover our assessment and administration costs.

Representation Fee

This fee covers the following services:

Reading and assessment of manuscript
Evaluation of the potential market and audience for the work
Researching four potential publishers for the work
All negotiations and facilitation necessary leading to a meeting with the author and potential publisher
