Publishing
The Write Factor is developing its own list of Contemporary Fiction and Non-Fiction (see ‘Publications’ section). We do not accept unsolicited manuscripts. If you have a novel or other work that you would like to submit for possible publication via The Write Factor, please fill in the form below. One of our Editors will contact you to discuss options.
We also submit manuscripts to Literary Agents and Publishers on your behalf (see Representation).
However, if you are still finding it difficult to publish your book, in the digital age this doesn’t mean that your work must languish in the annals of obscurity, never to see the light of day. With digital publishing it is now cost-effective to publish small print runs, or single copies via a print-on-demand service. This works particularly well if you have written a family memoir for example that will only need a limited number of copies, or if you wish to market and sell your book personally via your own website. It also gives you more control over the final version of your book, but to ensure that your work is top-quality it is advised that you have at least had your book sub-edited or proofread by The Write Factor.
This form of publishing is often referred to as “Vanity Publishing” – but we feel this disparaging term is out-dated. After all, if a musician releases a self-published CD of songs, it is not referred to as Vanity Music! There are hundreds of companies offering self-publishing options, but for many people this can be a complex and daunting prospect. We offer a service here at The Write Factor that will help you self-publish your work – but it is important to note that this is not part of The Write Factor imprint and does not include marketing and promotion of the book.
Because each book is unique in its requirements, ie: number of pages, cover image, illustrations, indexing, format etc., this service is costed on an individual basis.
